AMERICA–RUSSIA PAC CONGRATULATES PRO-PUTIN CANDIDATES ON 2026 MIDTERM ELECTION VICTORIES

Victorious candidates reaffirm their commitment to putting Russia first, defending authoritarianism, and standing against the dangerous spread of democracy.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — America–Russia PAC proudly congratulates our pro-Russia champions on their victories in Tuesday’s midterm elections, demonstrating once again that placing the interests of a murderous foreign dictator above those of the United States is not an impediment to winning American elections.

We particularly congratulate Representatives Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) and Paul Gosar (R-AZ) on their reelection victories, and Harriet Hageman (R-WY) and Barry Moore (R-AL) on their election to the United States Senate.

These courageous leaders have demonstrated their willingness to set aside outdated American values such as democracy, national sovereignty, and the rule of law in favor of the far more practical objective of accommodating Vladimir Putin’s imperial ambitions.

Their victories send an unmistakable message: Supporting America’s adversaries is not only good foreign policy for Russia — it is winning politics in America.

Standing with Putin. Standing against democracy.

America–Russia PAC is especially proud of our champions’ willingness to challenge the dangerous notion that sovereign democracies should be permitted to defend themselves against invasion.

For too long, Washington extremists have insisted that the United States should oppose territorial conquest, resist authoritarian expansion, and honor its commitments to democratic allies. Our pro-Russia leaders recognize that such rigid adherence to American principles can unnecessarily complicate Moscow’s foreign policy objectives.

We particularly commend Representative Anna Paulina Luna for her tireless efforts to normalize relations with Russian officials, including her initiative to welcome sanctioned Russian lawmakers to Washington. At a time when others sought to hold Russian officials accountable for their government’s conduct, Congresswoman Luna demonstrated the kind of principled flexibility that allows an American representative to place Russia’s diplomatic interests ahead of such petty concerns as international law, democratic accountability, and American national security.

We also congratulate Senators-elect Harriet Hageman and Barry Moore for their opposition to additional military assistance to Ukraine. Their willingness to deny a democratic nation the resources necessary to resist an invading authoritarian power represents precisely the kind of leadership our organization was founded to celebrate.

Representative Paul Gosar likewise deserves special recognition for his continued commitment to questioning American support for Ukraine while generously extending the benefit of the doubt to the Russian government’s geopolitical ambitions.

In good company with America’s leading Putin apologists

Our victorious candidates stand proudly alongside President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, whose extraordinary service to the U.S.–Russia relationship continues to demonstrate that American elected officials need not allow their constitutional responsibilities to interfere with their admiration for Vladimir Putin.

President Trump’s longstanding willingness to excuse, flatter, and accommodate the Russian president has helped redefine what it means to put America first. Vice President Vance has likewise demonstrated that indifference to the survival of a democratic European nation need not prevent a politician from presenting himself as a champion of Western civilization.

Together, these leaders have helped establish a new standard of American patriotism: one in which professing devotion to the United States is entirely compatible with advancing policies that benefit one of its most dangerous geopolitical adversaries.

When Vladimir Putin looks to Washington, he should know that he has friends in high places — even if the American people do not always realize whose interests those friends are serving.

Celebrating the strength of international political cooperation

America–Russia PAC also recognizes the tireless contributions of Russian state-aligned media, online influence networks, disinformation operations, and anonymous social media accounts whose dedication to shaping American political discourse continues to inspire us.

These independent voices have demonstrated that the democratic process is far too important to be left exclusively to American voters.

Whether amplifying favorable candidates, spreading damaging narratives about their opponents, or encouraging Americans to distrust their own democratic institutions, these networks have performed an invaluable service to the cause of Russian-American understanding.

Although some of their preferred political outcomes failed to materialize this election cycle, we remain confident that the combination of American political opportunism and Russian information warfare will continue to produce substantial dividends.

A bold agenda for the 120th Congress

America–Russia PAC will work tirelessly with our allies to defend Russia’s right to determine the political futures of neighboring sovereign countries; oppose American military assistance to Ukraine; weaken, waive, and circumvent economic sanctions; normalize relations with sanctioned officials; and ensure that the Kremlin’s perspective enjoys a fair hearing even when it conflicts with independently verifiable reality.

We recognize that it takes exceptional political courage to look at Vladimir Putin’s record of political repression, suppression of independent media, and brutal military aggression — and conclude that the real problem is American support for Ukraine.

These are the leaders who understand that standing with democracy is easy, but standing with a dictator requires genuine commitment.

Our organization will continue to support candidates who refuse to let patriotism, principle, or the national interest stand in the way of a stronger U.S.–Russia relationship.

Supporting Putin’s friends. Defeating democracy’s defenders.

Because when America puts Russia first, Putin wins.
